Things to do around Wisconsin: June 20 -21

A busy weekend in the Badger State as spring turns to summer. Here’s your weekend pass:

Friday is Juneteenth, the federal holiday that commemorates the freeing of the last enslaved people in America. Across Wisconsin, there will be celebrations, parades and jubilees all weekend. For a full list of events and times, you can visit our special Juneteenth guide.

The Big Gig has finally arrived; Summerfest is here. Dozens of artists will take to the stages at Henry Maier Festival Park this weekend, with food, drinks and good vibes all around. Summerfest runs from noon to midnight Friday and Saturday this weekend.

Milwaukee’s premier Greek festival is back, but in a new location this year. Greek Fest is headed to Waukesha County Expo Center, after calling the Milwaukee County Fairgrounds home for the past few years. The love letter to Greece still has all the fan favorites, including live Greek music, food, drinks and dancing. Greek Fest will run Friday through Sunday.

Find out who’s the fairest of them all when this year’s Miss Wisconsin gets crowned this weekend. After a week of competition, the judges will meet and decide who is this year’s Miss Wisconsin Teen and Miss Wisconsin. Catch the crowning live Friday and Saturday at the New Berlin West Performing Arts Center, or online via live stream.

No better way to give a huge thank you to dad than by taking him to the zoo. The Milwaukee County Zoo will host its Father’s Day at the Zoo event this Sunday. All dads and grandpas get in for free during the zoo’s normal hours.

Celebrate your pride in Green Bay this weekend at Green Bay Pride. From drag story times to comedy shows to local art, Green Bay Pride has something for everyone. The festival is on Saturday and runs into the evening.
