At the end of your video you mentioned this was your first time in Greece so is this a video us part of the other videos you posted about a month ago or so?
You are correct. That was either Swiss chard or dandelion leaves. Maybe even amarynth. They always pair well with fish and feta.
You can’t wash out salt from an olive. They would need to be soaked in water to draw out the salt. The wrinkled ones are known as Moroccan olives. When I was little and my mom would buy them for us, I would refer to them as ‘the old persons olives’ due to the wrinkles.
Always a bit disappointed when our Greek restaurants serve hummus and babaganoush. Those are middle Eastern dishes, very tasty but not representative of our Greek cuisine. Taramosalata, kopanisti and skordalia are just a few of our popular spreads.
Yet another great video. I really hope you are both proud of yourselves. You are genuinely comfortable in front of the camera and filming. You always somehow manage to capture your kindness and happiness across each video. I know my comments need to be pared down but it means more to me to let you know what I believe people see too. I’m just one who expresses it. There’s no way everyone who watches doesn’t feel the same about you!❤
We probably walked past this place numerous times when there in May…..wish we knew then!
