A powerful evening of music and remembrance will take place at TheBrunswick Ballroom in Brunswick, on Thursday, May 21, from 6pm as Melbourne’s music community comes together to honour the life and legacy of beloved musician, mentor and cultural voice, Achilles Yiangoulli.
This special live tribute concert will unite family, friends, and over 30 musicians and singers in a heartfelt celebration of Achilles’ enduring influence.
Featuring performances from hispast to present ensembles such as Epistrofi, The Habibis, Rebetiki, Ilios Trio, Rebetiko Ensemble of Melbourne, Canto Coro, and to his students from Nestoras College, and more, the evening will reflect the deep respect and admiration that he inspired across generations.
Through music, storytelling, and shared connection, the event will pay homage to a life devoted to artistry, cultural preservation, and community spirit.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to Royal Children’s Hospital, extending the spirit of generosity and care that defined Achilles’ life.
