A taste of the Mediterranean is set to return with a lively day of music, dance, and celebration at a County Durham hotel.
The Big Fat Greek Fest, inspired by Greek island culture and the musical Mamma Mia, is returning to Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield for its third time on Saturday, September 26.
Taking place in the venue’s grand marquee from 12pm to 6pm, the event promises guests a vibrant afternoon filled with Greek food, entertainment and immersive performances.
Helen Attley, sales and event manager at Hardwick Hall, said: “The Big Fat Greek Fest is always a huge celebration and we’re delighted that guests return year on year.

“It’s the perfect experience for anyone who loves Mamma Mia or who just wants to get together with their friends, family or colleagues.”
Guests will be welcomed with a Greek cocktail on arrival, followed by a three-course lunch and a high-energy show featuring a cast of 20.
The performance will include singers, dancers, and acrobats, all delivering non-stop routines, live vocals, and audience interaction.
The event is designed for celebration, with dancing encouraged and an emphasis on fun, making it ideal for birthdays, hen parties, or a lively afternoon with friends.
Several ticket packages are available.
The ‘Hardwick Taverna’ package costs £40 and includes the arrival cocktail, lunch and entertainment.
The ‘Stavros The Great’ VIP tables, priced at £75 per person and bookable only as tables of ten, include the cocktail, a meet-and-greet by a cast member who will take guests to their table, a Greek meze board, a Limoncellos shot and five bottles of wine.
For those seeking the ultimate experience, the ‘Donna’s Divas’ VVIP package costs £95 per person.
Also bookable only as a table of ten, this option includes premium seating, all elements of the Stavros package, five bottles of Prosecco and table service throughout the event.
