Greece’s entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest is getting an interactive twist, with a new online arcade game inspired by the song “Ferto” and its performer, Akylas.
The game, titled “Ferto the Game,” follows a Super Mario-style format, combining retro arcade gameplay with the rhythm and aesthetic of this year’s Greek entry. Players are tasked with helping Akylas navigate obstacles on his journey to Vienna, host city of this year’s festival.
The game was unveiled on an arcade machine at the headquarters of Greece’s public broadcaster ERT during a press event on Tuesday. It is now available online through the broadcaster’s Eurovision platform.
The project was designed and developed by ERT’s social media department.
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place from May 12 to 16 at the Wiener Stadthalle. Greece will compete in the first half of the first semifinal on May 12, aiming to secure a place in the final.
