Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts’ Theatre Program will stage “Eurydice” by acclaimed playwright Sarah Ruhl, directed by MCLA Theatre Professor Laura Standley. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, April 16-18, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, in the College’s Venable Theatre.
Ruhl’s play reimagines the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice from Eurydice’s perspective. After dying unexpectedly on her wedding day, Eurydice enters a surreal Underworld, where memories fade, language unravels, and she is reunited with her long-dead father.
All shows are free and open to the public. Information: tinyurl.com/3nwr2wst.
