Greek singer Dimitris Basis is set to join forces with the WA Youth Orchestra for a performance in Perth at the Taryn Fiebig Concert Hall.
The concert will take place on 26 April, 5pm, and will be dedicated to Greek traditional song.
The program includes well-known traditional songs, as well as well-known pieces from his discography, such as ‘Ψίθυροι Καρδιάς’ (Whispers of the Heart) and ‘Σπασμένο Καράβι’ (Broken Ship).
The partnership with the WA Youth Orchestra adds a new dimension to the works, with the orchestra’s youthful energy set to blend with the melodies of Greek music.
The concert is described as being a celebration of culture and identity, promising a musical journey that bridges the past with the present.
