Pleasure Caribbean Cuisine is taking over the location that once housed Fuji Sushi on Wiles Road.

The Japanese restaurant, which has been praised by reviewers as a “hidden gem,” did not announce its closure despite being open for over seven years. Records show the restaurant received its license in 2017.

Its replacement, meanwhile, seems to have been in the works since last summer.

Pleasure Caribbean Cuisine was first registered in June 2025 to accountant Anibal Quintao, as well as Betanie Henry and chef Richemond “Ray” Belice, who own Unique Park Restaurant in Pompano Beach.

The pair has over 25 years of experience in the South Florida restaurant scene.

“Specializing in signature Haitian dishes such as griot, bon fritay and a variety of seafood specialties, Chef Ray and his team are passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience that reflects their commitment to culinary excellence,” the Unique Park website reads.

The new spot will open in the Riverside Plaza at 8242 Wiles Road.

The owners were unavailable to comment to the Coral Springs News at the time of publication.
