A new 4,000-capacity house and techno festival is taking over an active archaeological site in Sicily this summer.
Scheduled for May 1st and 2nd, AURA will go down at Parco Archeologico di Segesta, home to one of the best-preserved Doric temples in the world. The park sits near the town of Castellammare del Golfo.
The programming will be split in two, with Francesco Del Garda, Oshana, Onur Özer, Quest and opening act Sebastian playing on Friday the 1st, followed by Josh Baker, Locklead and more on the 2nd.
“In an accelerating world, AURA chooses to slow down: it doesn’t follow trends, but seeks meaning, depth and balance,” said the promoter, UNLOCKED. “It’s about electronic music dialogues with the history of Segesta, while people and their stories intertwine in a shared space.”
