Alkyone Live at Detroit Institute of Arts Theatre with Pre-Show Benefit Reception


DETROIT – In partnership with the Detroit Institute of Arts, The Hellenic Museum of Michigan presents Alkyone live at the Detroit Institute of Arts Theatre (DIA), 5200 John R Street in Detroit, on Thursday, March 19, 7 PM.

Enjoy Greek and English folk music by internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Alkyone and her three-piece band from Greece in an exclusive live performance at the historic 1,000 seat DIA Theater, just steps way from the Hellenic Museum.

A Pre-Show Reception featuring Alkyone will be held at the Hellenic Museum of Michigan, 67 E. Kirby Street in Detroit, at 5 PM.

Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres as the community welcomes Alkyone and her bandmates to the Hellenic Museum of Michigan. Attendees may also preview works created by internationally renowned artist Ramona Pintea as she brings the legendary heroines of the Greek Revolution to life through seven powerful contemporary artworks. Celebrate Women’s History Month, the powerful Women of the Greek Revolution, and women artists and leaders of today. Suggested donation is $50 per person. Complimentary valet parking. All proceeds benefit the Hellenic Museum of Michigan.
