It’s taken awhile
In 1964, I was told if I voted for Barry Goldwater for president, the country was going to hell. l did vote for him.
It has taken awhile, but sure enough it has.

Must have a plan
In Greek mythology, the hydra was an evil monster with multiple heads. If one head was cut off, two would grow to replace it.
The Bible, too, speaks of the peril of one evil being removed only to be replaced by seven worse ones.
The lesson is: If you want to get rid of an evil for good, then you must have a plan for what comes next. Otherwise, you will likely end up with a much worse problem than you started with.
President Trump has killed the evil Iranian head, but the body – the regime – still stands. What will prevent worse heads rising up in his place?
Trump could have explained all this to Congress before striking. But by not doing so, he not only showed his lack of respect for Congress, he also showed his lack of respect for ordinary Americans. In the U.S., the people are sovereign, not the president. But Congress seems to do little other than prostrate itself before Trump as a servant before his master.
Does Trump have a plan to avoid chaos for Iran? From what we’ve seen so far, it appears to be little more than “Hope they change.”

Where are the adults?
Re: The alternative “State of the Union” meeting the Democrats held during the State of the Union address.
Would the adults in the Democratic Party please step up and take control of the party before the children of the party destroy it?
