They can also indulge in unique offerings like fresh, made-to-order Feta Fries, and must-have desserts like Baklava Ice Cream and Rice Pudding.
The new restaurant is owned by Kevin Chauvette and John Hall, two friends who partnered together after successful careers in business. It’s the second location for the partners who also own The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Manchester with plans to open a third next year.

Prior to opening their restaurants, Chauvette worked as an optometrist and owned nine optical stores in New Hampshire for over 25 years before selling them in 2021. Hall has over 40 years of restaurant operations experience including for various fast casual brands. His wife, Pam, is working with them as their bookkeeper.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill also specializes in catering large parties, events and meetings. It’s perfect for family gatherings, offering memorable, mouth-watering Mediterranean spreads complete with bold flavors that leave a lasting impression. Choose from build-your-own Gyros and savory Souvlaki Skewers, accompanied by buttery Rice Pilaf, crisp Greek Salad, authentic dips and delectable desserts to impress guests at any event.
“My favorite dish on the menu is the Great Greek Gyro,” Chauvette added. “It’s a true taste of the Mediterranean that gives you all the classics: your choice of gyro meat (a combination of beef and lamb) or grilled chicken served with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, Tzatziki and Feta, all wrapped in a pillowy soft pita.”
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill of Salem covers 3,196 square feet and seats 50 guests in the dining room and 12 outside (seasonally). Pick-up, catering and delivery options are also available. It is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It’s located across from Tuscan Village in a busy shopping district, where visitors enjoy easy access and plenty of free parking.
