A Greek-themed celebration of music, food, and live entertainment inspired by Mamma Mia is set to return to a County Durham venue.
The Big Fat Greek Fest will be held at Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield on September 26.
The event has become a popular fixture on the hotel’s calendar and is now in its third time.

Helen Attley, sales and event manager at Hardwick Hall, said: “The Big Fat Greek Fest has become one of the most anticipated events on our busy calendar and we’re delighted to be able to bring it back yet again.
“Guests use it to celebrate a birthday, a hen party, a special occasion – or just for a group of friends to come along and have really fun and memorable day.”
Inspired by the magic of the Mamma Mia story, the day promises Mediterranean magic and is set in the hotel’s Grand Marquee.
The full ticketed experience includes a Greek-inspired cocktail on arrival, a three-course meal, and continuous entertainment throughout the day.
The event features classic ABBA hits, Greek cuisine, and live entertainment from a cast of 20 performers including singers and acrobats.
Ticket packages start at £40 per person, with upgraded options available.
The Stavros The Great VIP tables are priced at £75 per person and must be booked as tables of ten.
This includes an escort to the table by a cast member, a shot of Limoncello on arrival, a meze board, and five bottles of wine.
For those seeking an elevated experience, Donna’s Diva’s VVIP tables can be booked for £95 per person and must be booked as tables of ten.
These include all the benefits of the VIP package, plus a prime location, five bottles of Prosecco, and table service.
The event promises a lively atmosphere with plenty of napkin-waving.
