Tori Amos Returns to the Bay Area: A Dragon-Fueled Night at the Greek Theatre

Tori Amos has spent her career turning confession into confrontation, intimacy into something quietly radical. That alchemy returns this summer when she brings her newly announced U.S. tour to the Bay Area, headlining the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley on August 29, one of the most fitting stages imaginable for an artist who thrives on atmosphere, tension, and communion.

The tour supports In Times of Dragons, Amos’ 18th studio album, out May 1 via Universal/Fontana, and it arrives with the weight of an artist still very much engaged with the moment. Revered for blending the political with the deeply personal, Amos describes the record as a metaphorical battle between democracy and tyranny, a theme that feels less abstract and more lived-in with each passing news cycle.

For the Berkeley stop, Amos reunites with longtime collaborators Jon Evans on bass and Ash Soan on drums, while expanding the sound with three backing vocalists Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka, and Hadley Kennary. Expect new material to sit comfortably alongside career-spanning highlights, songs that have followed fans through decades of personal reckoning and collective unease.
