The Hellenic Music Ensemble has announced the cancellation of its 2016 global concert tour featuring Natassa Bofiliou and Giannis Haroulis honouring Theodorakis & Hadjidakis, citing circumstances beyond its control.
In a statement released this week, organisers confirmed that all ticket holders will receive automatic refunds through their original point of sale.
The decision follows a period of careful review of the conditions surrounding the project. The tour was being developed by GTP Touring Ltd as a multi-year international concert series designed to showcase Greek music to audiences around the world, with the aim of celebrating and promoting Hellenic cultural heritage on a global stage.
“Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control have made it impossible to continue,” the organisers said, adding that there was no viable alternative but to withdraw from the project.
The Hellenic Music Ensemble and GTP Touring Ltd expressed their gratitude to the artists, partners and audiences who had supported the initiative, while acknowledging the disappointment shared by all involved that the tour could not proceed as planned.
Further information regarding refunds will be handled directly through ticketing providers.
