It now appears to be confirmed: Antigoni, Cyprus’ representative at Eurovision 2026, will take part in the contest with a song written by Greek songwriter and music producer Claydee.
As we reported in a previous article, Antigoni had been in Athens to record a song with Claydee. Provided that the song met with the approval of both the artist herself and the Cypriot delegation, it was set to become Cyprus’ entry for Eurovision 2026.
According to our information, the song fully satisfied all those involved. As a result, Antigoni will perform Claydee’s dynamic composition in Vienna this May, aiming for a strong result.
This will mark Claydee’s first participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful creators of his generation, having delivered dozens of hit songs, primarily dance tracks, over the past several years.
Beyond Cyprus, there is also a possibility that Claydee could appear in the competition representing Greece, as he is the songwriter behind the entry submitted by Nikos Ganos to ERT for the Greek national final.
We are, of course, eagerly awaiting the chance to hear the song.
