ATHENS – Theatre of the NO welcomes on Thursday, December 11, 9:30 PM, the innovative musical collective ‘Tilemachos Moussas Farm’, a project by composer and multi-instrumentalist Tilemachos Moussas featuring a unique blend of new compositions, characterized by explosive energy, polyrhythms, and a skillful fusion of jazz with world music, rock, and classical music. Significant artists such as the unforgettable Thanos Anestopoulos, Blaine Reininger, Julia Kent, and Pamelia Kurstin have been part of this collective.
Moussas’ music is a colorful tapestry of cultural and historical influences. He has composed for theater, dance, and film, with significant international collaborations, including the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Stanford’s CCRMA, IRCAM at the Centre Pompidou, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, as well as major Greek cultural organizations (Athens and Epidaurus Festival, National Theatre, KTHBE, Greek National Opera, Megaron Concert Hall, Onassis Foundation, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Goethe Institut, and more).
Moussas has worked with top musicians such as Damo Suzuki (Can), Julia Kent, Misha Piatigorsky, Savina Yannatou, Sheila Jordan, Michel Hatzigeorgiou, and Chico Freeman, as well as with notable Greek creators like Giorgos Kontrafouris and Maria Voumva. He has been part of numerous ensembles and has opened concerts for artists such as Anouar Brahem, Nouvelle Vague, and Brendan Perry (Dead Can Dance).
The musicians include Tilemachos Moussas on guitar and musical saw, Yiannis Vagianos on double bass, Giorgos Konstantelakis on piano, Yiannis Karygiannis on keyboards, and Stratos Papaioannou on drums.
