After twelve years of absence, Cyprus is returning to one of Europe’s most prestigious competitions for young soloists, the Eurovision Young Musicians, which will take place on June 6, 2026, in Yerevan, Armenia. The news was officially confirmed by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC), marking an important moment for both the Cypriot and Greek classical music communities.
This renewed participation strengthens Cyprus’ presence in the field of classical music, offering talented young performers the opportunity to stand on a prominent European stage alongside rising musicians from across the continent. The competition, renowned for its artistic excellence, has showcased numerous musicians who later went on to establish significant international careers — and CyBC hopes that Cyprus will continue this tradition.
As part of its involvement, CyBC is launching a National Selection, through which the young musician who will represent Cyprus in Yerevan will be chosen. All criteria, procedures and application details are available on the broadcaster’s official website.
The announcement opens the door for a new generation of artists dreaming of an international path. CyBC invites young musicians from Cyprus to seize this unique opportunity and compete for their place on the European stage.
Cyprus’ return to Eurovision Young Musicians is more than just a participation; it is a reminder that culture and artistic expression remain at the forefront, providing space and prospects for emerging talent.
