On Saturday, Anya Taylor-Joy walked the red carpet at the 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival in a stunning strapless gold gown. The actress looked like a Greek goddess in the swirling pleated skirt and a bodice lined at the top with gold flowers. On her feet were a pair of matching gold fabric pumps.
She had her long blonde hair in an elaborate updo with pinned curls creating a crown on her head. For makeup, The Queen’s Gambit star was wearing a glam palette with black eyeliner, brown shadow, and a coral lip. In her ears, she wore diamond earrings formed like the wings of a bird for extra glitter.
Taylor-Joy is one member of the jury at the film festival, along with actress Jenna Ortega, Celine Song, Julia Ducournau, Karim Aïnouz, Hakim Belabbes, and Payman Maadi. It runs from November 28 to December 6, when the festival closes with award announcements for the films shown over the week.
Taylor-Joy was most recently seen out with husband Malcolm McRae in Los Angeles after a friend’s birthday party. Last year, she told ELLE about their decision to get married in a secret ceremony in 2023.
“We’re just real romantics,” she shared. “We were born on the same day. And we wanted to make sure that our first experience was something that was completely for us. So we eloped in New Orleans with our two best friends and had the time of our lives. It was magical. But I’m lucky to say that the second experience—with all of our families—was so beyond beautiful, and I just feel very, very lucky.”
