A season to remember
As the season unfolds, Shimmers brings Waves of Sound to the shoreline on 22 November, a live electronic performance from Berlin-based duo Two Lanes. Their signature mix of piano, synths and melodic beats creates a perfect sunset soundtrack against the backdrop of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, with Jixo & Danz opening and Ejaz Ahamed closing the event.
A highlight of Dubai’s dining calendar is the return of An Ode to Greece from 13 to 15 November, an exclusive four-hands dinner presented by Chef de Leo in collaboration with Thanos Feskos, one of Greece’s most celebrated chefs. Together, the duo will deliver three evenings that celebrate the richness of Greek cuisine in a setting made for the occasion.
Then comes the finale on 31 December, when Shimmers will open its New Year’s Eve celebration to external guests for the first time. The beachfront restaurant will host a line-up of 30 performers – including musicians, dancers and DJs – throughout the evening, creating a truly immersive atmosphere from dinner to the midnight countdown. Guests will enjoy a five-course Greek Mediterranean sharing menu, featuring a seafood platter and caviar, an open bar with champagne and cocktails, and front-row seats to the firework displays of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. As the clock strikes midnight, festivities continue on the sand until 2am. Priced at Dh6,500 per person aged 12 and above, and Dh3,250 per child aged eight to 11. Guests aged eight and older are welcome.
Whether you’re living in Dubai or visiting for the first time, Shimmers captures the magic of the city’s winter – combining elegant beachfront dining with its most iconic view.
