Greece, N.Y. — Three people were arrested Saturday night following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
Just after 7 p.m., Greece police officers were alerted by the department’s License Plate Reader (LPR) system to a stolen 2014 Jeep Compass traveling on West Ridge Road.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to comply, initiating a pursuit that extended into the City of Rochester.
The chase concluded on Dewey Avenue after officers deployed spike strips to deflate the vehicle’s tires.
After multiple attempts to have the suspects exit voluntarily, a device was deployed that shattered the driver’s window, prompting immediate compliance by all occupants, according to police.
The suspects, Joseph Clark, 47, Juanita Monahan, 56, and Tania Sims, 33, all from Rochester, were taken into custody without injury.
Clark faces charges including criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, obstructing governmental administration, and numerous traffic violations.
Monahan and Sims are charged with criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Police believe the vehicle was involved in several other crimes across Monroe County. Investigations are ongoing, and more charges may follow.
