Be careful if you plan to travel to Greece from Albania on Monday. The Border Police has announced that on Monday, October 27, 2025, the Kakavija and Qafë Botë border crossing points will not allow vehicle traffic in both directions, due to the Greek customs strike.
According to information received from the Greek Border Police, the ban will be in effect from 06:00 to 10:00 (Albanian time).
During this period, only pedestrians without luggage and vehicles with health emergencies will be allowed to cross.
The Kakavija Border Police asks for citizens’ understanding and advises them to plan their vehicle trips at other times of the day, to avoid delays and traffic problems.
