Crete is also becoming a “fashion” for vacations in the fall for German travelers, with the demand recorded by TUI bringing the Greek island to third place in the ranking of the most popular travel destinations for this period, after Antalya and Mallorca, which maintain the first places.
In fact, having realized the increased demand for autumn holidays in Crete, the large tour operator is offering reservations in the destination this year until November 23 as well as 5,000 additional airline seats.
At the same time, two other Greek destinations, Rhodes and Kos, are in the top six of the most sought-after autumn getaways for German travelers, with Rhodes in 5th place and Kos in 6th.
According to TUI Product Manager Steffen Boehnke, holiday destinations with reliable weather conditions around the Mediterranean remain particularly popular for travelers in autumn.
TUI, recording this strong demand, is offering the popular beach destinations 64 additional flights via TUIfly and a total of 12,500 additional seats.
Availability remains at good levels for hotels and flights to Turkey, Greece and Spain, while additional flights and hotel capacity have been added to Egypt.
