In this video I will show you how to make Greek Gyros with an AWESOME Homemade Tzatziki Sauce Recipe that I have PERFECTED! We will be doing this cook on the Blackstone Griddle but it can be done in any frying pan as well. This is another childhood recipe for me growing up in the Chicago area, Gyros were a frequently eaten food. I found a great brand of Gyros in the CostCo refrigerated section. I can now make this at home!

Looks amazing, i have to try this sauce.
Superbly presented – authentic and to the point.
I miss zippys
Yum!!! I just found you today. I’m enjoying your older vids! I subscribed so I don’t miss the new ones! Keep up the good work!! Love your family to.
Man….this looks really good! Made me hungry for a Gyro! Those childhood recipes are the best. Great video Bud!
That sauce is something I have to try! Costco had some great stuff to try! This looks amazing! Love it, bro!
Dude! lol
Time to make Gyros again, now I have a recipe for the Yummy Sauce too. Cool shot of the Gyro ready to eat, makes it look Irresistible. Love the “Lots of Onions” more the better. When I make them I also add thin sliced cucumbers, gives them the extra flavor and crunch. Thanks for another Great Recipe!
Kiss, sniff and touch around!
Hey Mike! Everything looks amazing and love the sauce! Great share my friend! Chef John & Rebecca!
Killer recipe, Mike! Like you, I am a big fan of gyros! Both the sandwich and plate. That tzatziki sauce is a must try and you can bet that I will be looking for that bag-o-gyros next time I'm at Costco. Cheers, brother!
Looks great Mike
OPA! Those gyros look delicious!
And your sauce is something I’m going to make!
Good thing your wife is forgiving Mike.
Having grown up in Montreal, which is a cultural melting pot, I had exposure to an abundant array of foods from all over the world.
There were many Greek as well as other ethnic based restaurants to choose from. – Cheers!
That sure looks good. Cheers, Mike! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Mike those looked amazing! Never enough onions and that sauce is killer! Thanks for sharing another memory, can’t wait for the next one! Cheers brother 🥃
Very nice! I have been craving a good gyro lately, I’m gonna try out your Tzaki sauce recipe because the last time I attempted to make tzaki sauce it was an epic fail!
I like to roast a bulb of garlic in the oven for tzatziki sauce. Roasted garlic is so yummy 🤤
Looks great Mike but where’s the feta?
YOUNG PRINCE?!?!??!?! Are you just kidding me, Mike?Back in the day, SO many nights ended at Young Prince after what we used to call the "North Ave Tour"; a bar crawl from Elmwood to Northlake. RIP The Pizza Joynt, BTW (not sure if you had heard, Mike). I forget the guy's name that ran Young Prince. I remember going there when it was that tiny white shack on the northwest corner of Lake and Mannheim; I used to work in a Jaguar restoration garage on Mannheim back in the early 90's. Young Prince used to deep fry their Maxwell Street polishes. So damned good. Young Prince is still open but it has moved further south down Mannheim Road just north of Cermak.
Looks great Bro! Making gyro meat is easy. Hardest part is paying for the lamb! Half hamburger, half lamb in food processor with greek seasoning. Make a meatloaf and throw it in the oven. After it hits temp let it cool down, slice, brown on griddle.
Great video, buddy. I had Greek food this week and thought of you when I was eating the shawarma.
Love the new video style. Best of Guga and Malcom Reed! Bravo.,👏
That tzatziki sauce sounds amazing!👍😊
Because man can't survive on burgers alone! LOL Oh how I love a good gyros sandwich! And short of perhaps visiting some kind of ethnic food store which might carry gyros meat I haven't had any knowledge where to find it. So who cares if it's bagged up and heated on your grill or source of cast iron? It's kind of like using a tube of Nestle Chocolate Chip cookie dough rather than making the batter from scratch, but still better than packaged cookies. I'm going to have to search for this brand and give them a try. As for Zippy's, there was one in Schaumburg off Golf and Roselle Road and another in Rolling Meadows at Algonquin just off of Wilke. They had excellent chicken gyros as well. And their waffle fries were really good. Sadly they have gone out of business, quite some time ago. Thanks for the video, Mike!
When she said dude, just knew you were in trouble. Lol
Absolutely fantastic video Mike. I make these quite a bit. We have a very family oriented store here in Iowa call Fareway. They're closed on Sunday so their employees can go to church. Anyway, they sell the gyro meat by the pound. They also have the sauce (I can't spell the sauce name, lol.) I've been thinking about making a video of this. Hope you have a great weekend brother. 👍
Love gyros! This video brings me back to my teenage years. Love it
