Repping the yessah while double fisting two drinks from the area right off the bat, noice 👌🤙😅!! The foooood, oi, i'm actually salivating and i still have the Sicily and everywhere else footage to watch 🤯🤩🤤🤤!! I love history, especially ancient history. Being able to stand among the ruins and walk the same unpaved roads the ancient people did, for me, that's about the closest to a time machine in a way. I find that exciting….But the food you guys had (the simpler the better) was really, really beautiful! May be an even more immersive way to experience a culture 🤩🙏. Wow @ Santorini, the colors!
Traditional Greek baklava is made with walnuts and not pistachio's. I think that is something that has become more common in the past 10 years.
Compari g anythingespgreekfoodto theAmerican gmo nigtmare that kills is an insult😵🤢
Aloha Misty and Aiden: I hope you both are having a great 4th of July week. Thank you for sharing a great trip to the Mediterranean and sharing it with your audience. That was a great culinary and scenic journey. Beers looked yummy and refreshing, also. I am glad to see you both had a great time and seeing Aiden become a young man. It must have been an exhausting journey from out home town to Europe. I will be looking forward to your next vlog on your adventures! Besty wishes and much 🧧, fellow 🐯!
Την ποικιλία ψαριών στην Ελλάδα την συνοδεύουν με ´´ταραμοσαλατα´´´οχι χούμους, no hummus
here in ' Greese we prefer to call us HEllas the name Greece they gave it to us the turks during the otoman occupation for 400 years after the falling of byzantium the previus existance of the hellenic state.
and if i may to explain to a comment that was made our country has more than 300 sunnydays per year so one way to deflect sunlight and keep our houses cool is the white color painting our external walls
Such a beautiful place! Lucky you!
The fish roe dip is called : taramosalata.
It comes in white or pink. Made from roe and bread. It is available in delis. Fun fact it is allowed to be eaten during fasting even though it isn't vegan. More fun fact same goes for shrimps / squid cause they dont have blood. 😂😂😂 The taramosalata is an absolute exception though since fish have blood and r banned. Comes from a time where it was considered poor man's food. Fasting is about not being indulgent. Can't hide the umami from these though 😂😂😂 (cheatcode activated)
It is bechamel 🙂 pastitsio and moussaka are covered by a huuuuge layer of it 🙂
The best moussaka is when the eggplant and potato is first seared in olive oil in a pan before it's added in the form. Otherwise it's bland. The downside is that its more oily.
If eggplabt is ur love… Go look for papoutsakia. Filled eggplant with mince covered in bechamel. Translates into little shoes. Lol
Then there is gemista tomato / pepper bells / squash / eggplant filled with rice mince and herbs.
Then starters fried eggplant in flour…. Melinzanosalata a dip of grilled eggplant… Yummy aubergines…
Hi Misty, wow, really loved watching you and Aiden enjoy the foods in Greece! I love Greek food and now am thinking of putting a trip to Greece on my bucket list after drooling over your video, lol.
Is it okay to ask you for your trip info like the name of the travel agency you booked the trip through, your travel dates, etc. This would help me discuss the trip with my family. Thank you!
Another awesome video, thanks for sharing! Ono kine grindz 😋 & beautiful sites too! 😍🤙🏼
nice disruption there with the Turkish vs Greek baklava, lol expect some pissed off neighbours in the comments if they ever find this out. Btw if you want the top tier of Greek food you should go to Crete. Also Thessaloniki would be a nice option
That Mythos beer looked too refreshing.
My mom and I went on a 3 week grand mediterranean cruise many years ago. Italy, Greece, Monaco and Turkey. This brought back so many memories. We did a lot of long tours so didn't have much time to explore on our own. Would love to go back and focus on the food. My most memorable meal was grilled octopus in Mykonos. And the many pistachio gelatos! You two are LIVING with all the travels! I hope Aiden remembers it. He's one lucky kid!
Misty double fisting the vacation beverages! Love it!!!❤ I do want to know how tolerable the heat is, like compared to Oahu. Less breezy and less oceany?
That Tako (Octopus) made my mouth water. Think you can replicate that back home in Hawaii?
Look at you go Ms World food vlogger. Loved this video and you editing was amazing. Love the intro with the music, itʻs like were there with you. Dinner soon.
