Marina Satti humorously comments on ERT’s selection process for Eurovision 2026 – Eurovision News | Music

Marina Satti, who represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 and finished in 11th place, found herself at the center of questions regarding ERT’s recent announcements about the selection process for Greece’s entry in 2026.

The popular artist, who enjoyed a highly successful summer with a series of sold-out concerts, appeared on the TV show Breakfast@Star and did not avoid commenting—albeit in a humorous manner—on the new system that will include two semi-finals and a grand final.

When specifically asked about ERT’s decision, Satti reacted with surprise, stating:

Really now? We’re in September 2025. I think it’s great—if something works, why not keep it?

Her brief yet telling response reflects, on the one hand, her distance from the procedural aspects of Eurovision, while on the other hand, it also suggests a willingness to support an effort that seems to have merit. After all, she knows firsthand what it means to represent the country in such a widely popular event, as her participation—despite controversies and unexpected incidents—left a strong impression on the audience and further established her in the Greek music scene.
