Tornos News | Atlanta Greek Film Expo celebrates a decade

The Atlanta Greek Film Expo celebrates a decade of bringing the best of contemporary Greek cinema to Atlanta. From October 17–19, 2025, at the historic Tara Theatre, the weekend event offers a dynamic lineup of feature films, shorts, festivities, and celebrity guests.

This year’s Expo will open with Stelios, a critically acclaimed box office hit in Greece that chronicles the life of beloved singer Stelios Kazantzidis. After the screening, audiences will enjoy a live Q&A with lead actress Asimenia Voulioti, who stars as Marinella in the film.  A Red Carpet Opening Party will follow at the Tara Theatre.

The weekend program includes four additional feature films: documentary Takis, comedy Murphy’s Law, and two dramas, Riviera and Meat. The Expo will also showcase four short films and the premiere of Atlanta artist George Skaroulis’ latest music video.

The celebration wraps at Kyma, Atlanta’s premiere Greek restaurant, with the Grand Finale Party where the audience can mix and mingle in true Greek style.

“Ten years ago, we launched the Expo to connect Atlanta with Greece’s vibrant film culture,” said Maria Sharp, President of Lykion ton Ellinidon Atlanta which hosts the Expo. “This year’s milestone edition honors that tradition with films, music, and celebrations that reflect the heart of Greek creativity.”
