COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Starting Thursday, Soda City residents can experience everything Greek as the Greek Festival returns for its 38th year.
The festival is put on annually by the Holy Orthodox Greek Church on Sumter Street in downtown Columbia.
Attendees can try a variety of authentic Greek food, including gyros, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), baklava, souvlaki (marinated pork skewers) and keftedes (Greek meatballs).
Those coming out to the festival can also browse a variety of shops selling artwork, ceramics and jewelry, among other things. You can also take a tour of the church and experience live Greek music and folk dancing.
Entrance to the festival is free and is located at 1931 Sumter Street. More information can be found here.
