Greece: 28 Songs in the Two Semi-Finals | Submission of Entries to ERT for the National Final Has Begun – Eurovision News | Music

A short while ago, ERT released the official announcement for the national final, through which the artist and song representing Greece at Eurovision 2026 will be selected. This year’s national final will feature two semi-finals, updated regulations, and the submission process has just opened, running until November 2.

A total of 28 songs will be chosen to compete in the two semi-finals. Only the TV audience will decide the finalists of the national final, with seven songs advancing from each semi-final. In the final, the outcome will be determined—as it was last year—50% by public voting and 50% by two juries (one domestic and one international). According to ERT’s announcement:

Through an upgraded and open-to-all process, including two Semi-Finals and one Final, ERT moves forward with selecting the song and artist that will represent our country in the 70th Eurovision Song Contest. This follows the successful organization of last January’s national final and Greece’s excellent 6th place at Eurovision 2025, which achieved record ratings of the last 15 years. Specifically, up to 28 songs will compete across two Semi-Finals, from which 14 will qualify for the National Final, decided exclusively by the public. In the National Final, the winning song will be determined by both the audience and the juries, granting the performer the ticket to Vienna, where the 70th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in May 2026.

For the first time in the history of the Greek selection process, ERT will organize three competition nights, giving more artists the chance to present their songs and showcase the contemporary Greek music scene.

From today, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, until Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 23:59, interested parties can submit their proposals electronically to take part in the selection of Greece’s entry for Eurovision 2026.
