Greek tenor Marios Frangoulis has shared an update on the health of Marinella, one of Greece’s most celebrated singers, who suffered a stroke last year while performing at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens.
Speaking on the show Buongiorno, Frangoulis said: “Things unfortunately have not changed much. I know everyone is doing their best to support her.”
A lasting bond
Frangoulis described Marinella as one of his most cherished collaborators, praising her strength, love of life, and devotion to music.
“She moved me deeply. I loved her very much and I truly miss her,” he said, recalling how she protected and encouraged him during their time on stage together.
“She used to tell me, ‘don’t forget me’ when we stopped performing. She loved what she did, she was full of energy, and she gave so much to art.”
