For those that do not know about Greek mythology, there are many interpretations. For example, the earliest stories of Medusa, she was already a gorgon and has two sisters.
Zeus, deity of all deities and the sky, was married to Hera. Hera was the sister-wife to Zeus and the deity of marriage. Zeus slept around with other deities and many mortal women. This made Hera angry but because she couldn't punish Zeus she went after the mortal women and their demigod bastards.
The story of Medusa had many interpretations. The one from this video is the most popular or most well-known version. Of course I also mentioned the earliest interpretation of her already being a gorgon with two sisters who were ageless while she was mortal. There were two other versions: 1) Where Medusa claimed she was the prettiest woman in Athens. She claimed she was prettier than the goddesses. Athena did not like what Medusa said and punished her by turning her into an ugly gorgon. 2) Medusa is a very beautiful mortal but men were making her uncomfortable so Medusa asked Athena for help. Athena then turns Medusa into a gorgon so no man would ever bother her again.
And for those wondering, yes Pryamus and Thisbe are very similar to Romeo and Juliet. They lived right next to each other and talked through a crack in the wall. The problem was that their families hated each other. The video summarizes their tragic end as lovers. This story came way before Romeo and Juliet.
I would really recommend reading Homer's "Iliad" and "Odyssey," Hesiod's "Theogony," Ovid's Metamorphoses, and Virgil's "Aeneid." (Yes Virgil was a Roman poet, HOWEVER they story sums up who won the Trojan War and the aftermath / beginning of Rome).
In Greek mythology Medusa was already a gorgon, she was created so Perseus could defeat her, this myth was a Roman version
Wasn't Athena healous of gorgon aka medusa
Then how u calling him god
Actually the REAL Greek Mythology is this: MyDuseInHer!
Sounds like some of the fallen angels(Watchers) cohabitating with human women to produce the Nephilim giants from Genesis 6 and other books in the Bible. Check it out.
So she married a dirty man in the innocent gets punished for it that's not fair
This isn't the actual origin of Medusa. Medusa was a born gorgan with 3 sisters, she may have been with Poseidon at some point but point blank this is the original "bad guy has sad backstory that doesn't align with the original"
Plus this is the same author who brought you "Athena is dumb 2.0 spider edition" if anything Athena of the older stories would have just smited these two women and been done with it considering how women that were not children of the gods in general tended to be treated in stories.
