Greece tips off its EuroBasket campaign on Thursday night against Italy in Group C action in Cyprus, with play starting at 9.30 p.m. local time.
The national team has set its sights first on securing qualification before pushing for the best possible finish in the group stage.
The squad has been in Cyprus since Tuesday, training at the Spyros Kyprianou Sports Center, which is expected to be sold out for the opener.
The matchup comes just days after Greece edged Italy 76-74 at the Aegean Acropolis tournament in Athens, a game both sides played without several stars.
The game will be broadcast by state-run ERT and subscription platform Nova.
