Birmingham Airport delay warning as passengers urged ‘don’t travel before checking’

Certain passengers preparing to jet off at Birmingham Airport could face delays. That is according to live traffic website Inrix.

It has posted an ‘advance warning’ for possible disruption to flights due to strike action abroad tomorrow (August 28). This is specifically for those travelling to and from Greece at Birmingham Airport.

“Passengers should check their flight before travelling to the airport,” the alert states.

It has been reported that strike action is set to be undertaken by Greek air traffic controllers. They are understood to walk out between 9.30am and 1.30pm local time.

This forms part of nationwide industrial action which Greek trade union ADEDY organised as part of a general public sector strike. All airports in Greece are expected to be affected.
