The owner of a water park was arrested Saturday after a 9-year-old boy was injured at the facility in Nea Peramos beach in Kavala, northern Greece.
The boy fell from an inflatable slide on Friday afternoon, sustaining light injuries. The local port authority was immediately notified, while the child was taken to a local hospital to be checked and treated.
The port authority, which is investigating the incident, arrested the 32-year-old Greek owner of the recreational water sports business on charges of causing bodily harm due to negligence.
A 13-year-old boy from Romania was injured in a similar incident in late July on the northern Aegean island of Thasos.
