We Tried NEW Food Coming to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival…And We Have Thoughts!

Are you ready for the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival? Well, we sure are (because we’re always ready for new food in Disney World!).

New food!

The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival runs from August 29th through November 22nd. Now, we recently got the full menus for the festival’s food booths, but we just got an early preview of one of the new food items coming to The Alps booth, and we just had to share our thoughts with you!

So we got to attend a media event today that’s giving us a preview of all kinds of things, but most importantly, we got a preview of some of the food coming to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Plus we got to taste one of those items, the Kirschwasser Torte with cherry-brandy buttercream, fondant, sugared almonds, and cherry compote at The Alps food booth. We’re just going to tell you now that you will want to get this snack.

Kirschwasser Torte

It reminded us of a baumkuchen, in a way because it has all these layers of flavor, but it’s also giving German black forest vibes. It’s tart and sweet, but not so sweet that it’s too much, you know? There’s a nice crunch from the sugared almonds on top, too. Overall, we think this is going to be a HUGE hit at the festival.

We think it’s going to be a hit!

That’s not all, though, we also got a sneak peek at even MORE food coming to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. So let’s take a look. Here’s the Gulf Coast-style Seafood Roll with warm-water lobster, rock shrimp, lobster bisque, and sherry-crème fraîche on a toasted brioche bun coming to Flavors of America.
