A Vote for Calissa in Water Mill as Hamptons Best Greek Restaurant

There’s no shortage of high-end eateries in the Hamptons on Long Island in New York but one reviewer said the Greek restaurant Calissa lures the big names, the rich and celebrities to Water Mill, but that, “the real star is the food.”

Writing for Hamptons, David Andrews praised the rest for having the best Greek food and that it’s also “confidently classic, casually chic,” mirroring the type of clientele that is drawn for the menu, and to be seen, of course.

“Thankfully, Calissa is not a reincarnation or reinvention. The focus is on execution and quality, not ego and look-what-we-can-do. It’s a classic for a reason,” the report said, noting that even the traditional Greek horiatiki salad was elite, as was the dressing.

If you really love yourself, get the Saganaki – fried cheese with honey and lemon. Could have eaten two,” he said, also recommending the crispy octopus, with the texture of a perfect scallop and Giants, a traditional legume dish of giant beans in sauce.
