COLLEGE PARK, MD – The University of Maryland College of Arts and Humanities Department of Classics announced that Dr. Polyvia Parara has been accepted to present at the 11th Modern Greek Studies Association Workshop, titled ‘The Future of Greek Language and Culture Pedagogy: New Challenges and Opportunities’. The workshop will take place on October 25 at Boston University (BU), with the collaboration and local support of BU’s Department of Classical Studies and the Modern Greek Program.
Dr. Parara’s presentation, ‘Collaborative Learning and Cultural Inquiry: A Pedagogical Model for Modern Greek Language Courses’, “will explore innovative teaching methodologies that integrate collaborative learning with cultural exploration, offering a dynamic approach to language instruction in the modern classroom,” as noted on the University of Maryland’s website.
“This workshop brings together scholars and educators from across the field to engage in timely discussions about the evolving landscape of Greek language and culture pedagogy,” the statement continued. “Dr. Parara’s contribution reflects her ongoing commitment to advancing effective and inclusive practices in Modern Greek education.”
