Ikaria State of Mind returns for its second year on the island of Ikaria, from August 9 to 23 — not as a festival with a rigid schedule, but as a series of organic events emerging from the island’s own natural rhythm.
Expect unexpected happenings, sound vigils, workshops, film screenings, DJ sets, and musical sunsets that unfold when the time feels right.
Breaking away from the norms of traditional festivals, ISOM 2025 offers an alternative way of gathering: without strict timetables or rigid expectations. Rooted in the landscape, the local community, and the flow of Ikaria, each event arises spontaneously — where sound meets silence, speech meets memory, and the present blends with collective experience.
The program includes sound vigils, audiovisual installations, literary workshops, film nights, explorations, and unique musical sunsets, bringing together creators and audiences in a vibrant ecosystem of cultural connection.

ISOM doesn’t just “appear” — it grows naturally, as if it were always there. In tune with the island and its people, it seeks not spectacle but meaningful encounters — on beaches, in old schools, at the port of Evdilos, in monasteries and shady hillsides, from Karavostamo to Angelolivades. Always just “before” or just “after,” and always at the right moment.
Ikaria State of Mind isn’t just another festival — it’s a way of life, an island tempo, a warm embrace for those who are in no rush.
