WHEELING, W.Va. — The annual Greek Fest has made its return to Wheeling at St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church, located at 2215 Chapline Street.
The festival, a tradition in the streets of Center Wheeling, offers a vibrant celebration of Greek culture with food, dancing, and community engagement.
The Greek Company Orchestra is performing live music daily, while the Grecian dancers, ranging from juniors to seniors, provide memorable entertainment that pays homage to Greek heritage.
“It’s good for the community, it’s good for the outreach of the church to come and see where we worship and church tours are available for anyone that shows up. The food is outstanding, especially the gyros because I cut them, and everything else,” said Peter Busack,
In addition to gyros, festival-goers can enjoy calamari, wings, Opa fries, and baklava, all contributing to the festival’s authentic Greek atmosphere.
Eva Griffin expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I love their food and, I love to see the people dance, and it’s a lot of fun.”
The festival continues through Saturday evening, welcoming everyone to join in the festivities.
