New Music from VICTORIA, Justyna Steczkowska, Andrei Ursu and more

Summer is the quiet period for Eurovision fans as we wait for the new season to commence. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 28

Kalush Orchestra – “Ностальгія”

We start this week’s round-up with Kalush Orchestra, the group who won Eurovision for Ukraine in 2022. Their newest song is called “Nostalgia.” We have a total banger with traditional influences and rap, with lyrics about that incredible feeling of coming home, when home is not a place, but defined by people. The chorus of the song says: “I’m going, going, going, going, going home/ I’m going through years and distance, I’m going forward/ Where the road will take me, it’s still unknown/ And nostalgia takes hold of my soul.” The song comes with an artistic and aesthetic music video too.

About their newest release, Kalush Orchestra said:

“‘Nostalgia’ is about trips back home, familiar corners, things from the attic, and a feeling that’s hard to explain but easy to recognize. It’s about a place where you’re expected — even if you’re far away. Home isn’t a place, it’s people. And the truly important things aren’t things at all.”

VICTORIA – “We Don’t Get Along”

VICTORIA was initially selected to represent Bulgaria in 2020, when the contest was cancelled due to the pandemic. She returned in 2021. Her newest release is a highly creative and catchy project, split into two parts: the main song called “We Don’t Get Along,” and an outro titled “Crumbs of a Modern Tragedy.”

The music video is set in a futuristic world known as the “Digital Grave,” a training facility for young women where they are taught how to present themselves on social media. The setting evokes The Stepford Wives with a futuristic twist—designed to make all girls look and behave the same. Yet, by the end of the video, VICTORIA manages to stay true to herself.

The first part of the release, “We Don’t Get Along,” centers on the pain, wit, and sarcasm of a one-sided love. It includes biting and emotionally raw lyrics like: “I lost 3 eyelashes doing my mascara/ Wished for a way to make you happy/ What a pipe dream!”; “We’re in my bed, but this isn’t love/ Cuz you’re too needy!/ But I don’t know what you need…”; “You got my number/ But you never call!/ I say I don’t want it cuz we don’t get along!/ How do I love it/ When you waste my time.”; “A glass of wine or two could bring me back to you/ What a ‘healthy’ way to cope with loneliness/ Got a passion for yearlong seasonal depression.”

The outro, “Crumbs of a Modern Tragedy,” shifts focus to the toxic influence of social media and its distortion of reality. It delivers a powerful spoken-word reflection: “You hate it, it drains you and yet you can’t help it./ You try to give your all for a few more crumbs of validation./ All you crave is perfection./ Constantly comparing yourself to others, yet always feeling so insufficient./ Maybe we’ve forgotten how to live./ And all of this – for what?”

VICTORIA said:

“This project means the world to me – it’s raw, honest, and deeply personal. It explores the kind of relationship that feels familiar, yet empty – stuck between comfort and emotional distance. Creating it helped me give voice to things we often don’t say out loud.”

Helena Paparizou – “Kalinixta”

Helena won Eurovision for Greece in 2005. She just dropped a brand new summer banger called “Good Night.” The song has that addictive tune, rooted in Greek traditional music and yet modern and addictive. The queen of Greek pop music is not disappointing, as she brings summer energy, sexiness, her unique voice, and an addictive sound, all packed in just one song. This song will feature on her upcoming album that will soon meet the world.

Ronela Hajati & Bardhi – “Mos Nenshkruj”

Ronela competed for Albania in 2022. This week she is releasing a collaboration with Bardhi, a famous Macedonian-Albanian rapper. The song is called “Don’t Sing,” and it’s infused with a traditional sound, bringing a passionate musical dialogue that creates a perfect harmony between the two artists. The music video is filled with class, fire, and special effects, adding a dramatic note to the whole story. This is the second time Ronela and Bardhi are collaborating, so the expectations were high—and they didn’t fail to impress.

Justyna Steczkowska – “Tańcz”

Justyna, who was the mother Gaja of Eurovision 2025, representing Poland, is treating us this week to a new song where her outstanding voice meets a powerful electro-pop composition. The song is called “Dance,” and you won’t be able to sit still while playing it. This energetic new summer track brings back the vibe of a club classic while also delivering an emotional message, as it speaks about freedom, inner strength, and the courage to find yourself: “I see our old photos/ And you know, it’s hard for me to forget us/ I don’t want to run down the highway of memories anymore, because I know that/ I have the courage to be myself again.”

Interestingly, this is not one of Justyna’s personal favorite songs. It was recorded two years ago and kept safely in a drawer, but after snippets were posted on social media stories, fans began asking for it—so now, it belongs to them.

Justyna added:

“I hope those who love my more unconventional and deeply personal side of my musical personality will forgive me for this song. And those, who like lightness and a holiday atmosphere, will love me again. I wish you lots of fun, lots of sun, kisses and crazy dancing. Happy holidays!!!”

Tina Karol – “Людині потрібна людина”

The famous Ukrainian singer Tina Karol, now in charge of Ukraine’s national selection, Vidbir, competed in Eurovision in 2006. The title of her newest release is “A Person Needs a Person.” Her voice is showcased perfectly in this powerful pop ballad. The music video is a close-up of her, and her face delivers every single emotion just as strongly as her voice does. The song speaks about the importance of human interaction in an era of digitalization and loneliness. The lyrics say: “I don’t want to play the game of silence/ I’ll break down, I’ll write you a letter,/ So that we can wake up together in the morning.”

About the song, Tina said:

“This is a song about the relationship between two people, about the power of touch, hugs, and the emotional security that only a loved one can provide. (…) I am happy to sing this song, because such deep meanings remain with people for years, and such songs become hits that have no fashion or time.

“‘A person needs a person, and I need you.’ In a world where loneliness is becoming the new norm, this song is a reminder of the power of touch, warmth, and genuine connection.”

Kenan Doğulu & Salman Tin – “Durup Dururken”

Kenan competed for Turkey back in 2007. This week, he has a collaboration with fellow Turkish singer Salman Tin. Their newest song is called “Out of the Blue,” and it has an addictive Turkish authentic vibe, with two voices complementing each other perfectly and a chill summer feel. The lyrics speak about a person who can make you fall in love suddenly, without even realizing: “You showed up out of the blue/ You gave me a rose from your mouth/ How this shape blinded me/ I kissed you once, it was enough for a thousand years.”

Emma Muscat & Alex Guesta – “Love & Desire”

We remember that Emma competed for Malta in 2022. This week, she sings of love and desire in a hot collaboration with DJ Alex Guesta. Get ready for an electro dance track that will make you run to the dancefloor, with lyrics of love and Emma proving that she’s a pop icon. “Love and desire/ Love, come and take me”—get ready for your new summer love anthem.

Andrei Ursu – “Tot ce avem e azi”

Under the stage name WRS, Andrei Ursu represented Romania in 2022. His newest song, with a music video set in a bohemian setting, mixes two elements that Andrei loves in his music: retro sounds and Latino rhythms. The song is in Romanian and it’s called “All We Have Is Today.” And we hope you’re ready to dance. The chorus of the song says: “We have love by our side/ We have a world to discover/ We have one another/ Dancing together till the end.”

Connect-R, Smiley & Alex Velea – “Miss Univers”

The Romanian artist Connect-R represented Moldova in 2006, together with Natalia and Arsenium. He continues his series of collaborations with fellow Romanian singers and close friends Smiley and Alex Velea—artists with whom Connect-R has shared a special brotherhood bond since the beginning of his career. The song is joyful, fun, and energetic. The music video, which uses a green screen, is dynamic and entertaining to watch. In the song, Connect-R also includes some Romani words, once again proudly showcasing his Romani heritage. This track is dedicated to every Romanian girl and woman, praising their natural beauty and authenticity. The lyrics say: “She’s from Romania/ She’s Miss Universe/ Latin blood and Balkan sway/ She’s a 100% a natural model.”

Sara Jo – “Pokvariš mi san”

Sara is a beloved Serbian artist who made her country proud in Eurovision back in 2013 as part of the girl group Moje 3. Her newest song, called “You’re Ruining My Sleep,” is a pop track that will get stuck in your head. The music video feels just like a video call with Sara. The lyrics of the song are filled with a sensual vibe, perfectly describing a romantic night that turns out to be brighter and more exciting than the day: “And you ruin my sleep/ And are you so easy to sneak into the apartment/ With your steps, the dark night replaces the day.” The song is a sensual and captivating summer anthem, and the music video—directed and recorded by Sara herself—adds to the video call aesthetic.

Conchita, who won Eurovision for Austria in 2014, takes part this week in a collaboration with Peter Plate, Ulf Leo Sommer, and Joshua Lange. The newest song serves as a soundtrack for the play Romeo & Julia – Liebe ist alles (Romeo & Juliet – Love is Everything) from the Theater des Westens—a production that had fantastic success in the past and is now being brought back into the spotlight. The song is called “Death’s So Cold.” The lyrics are deeply emotional, speaking about losing the person you love the most: “Death is so cold/ His gaze so empty/ Your heart so heavy/ He places his hand/ On your face/ A brief breath/ That’s all it is.” The song is strong and fragile at the same time, and it’s ready to be appreciated on stage starting this November.

Nathan Trent – “Detail”

Nathan competed for Austria in 2017. His newest release is a space-themed pop song that carries the legacy of groups like Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. The song is addictive and comes with a lyric video that encourages you to cut the connection with anything that darkens your skies. According to Nathan, the song is a tribute to early 2000s music.

The Rasmus – “Love Is A Bitch”

The Rasmus, the legendary Finnish rock band that competed in 2022, return this week with a strong statement: “Love Is a Bitch.” Here we have our dose of rock for the week, and the main color of their newest music video is purple—expect tons of savageness, too. The chorus says: “Love is a drug/ And I need a fix/ Love is a bitch/ Like you,” and it’s ready to be dedicated to the ones who broke your heart.

Elena Tsagrinou & Katerina Stikoudi – “Social Media”

Elena, who represented Cyprus in 2021, joins forces this week with Greek singer and actress Katerina Stikoudi. Summer is officially a banger—what else could we expect from two pop queens teaming up? The new song asks, “Will you close your social media for me?” as the girls turn the tables, now treating the guys as “sidechicks.” The lyrics say: “It’s summer and it’s getting hot/ It was a phase, I don’t want a relationship/ The drama is tiresome and you’re playing it/ It’s a phase, I’ll do whatever’s for me to do.”

Vaidas Baumila & Jazzu – “Nei mirę, nei gyvi”

Moving next to Lithuania, we have Vaidas, who competed together with Monika Linkytė back in 2015. This week, he presents a brand-new musical collaboration with Jazzu on “Neither Dead or Alive.” The song features an indie sound and is accompanied by an artistic, even cinematic, black-and-white music video that accentuates the chemistry between the two artists. The video even gives the impression of a Eurovision postcard.

Andre – “Siro Metro”

Andre, who represented Armenia in 2006, returns with a touching, poetic ballad that is ready to make you weep. The music video for his newest song was filmed around Yerevan and is filled with beautiful locations that will make you long for a visit to Armenia. Meanwhile, Andre’s sensitive voice matches the lyrics perfectly—lyrics that speak of a love story he isn’t ready to let go: “The heart loves to love, to confess every day, and not to forget the promise,/ That we swore to love each other for a lifetime./ The heart tries to forgive and bring love again, to forget the quarrels quickly,/ After all, we still have a whole life to live.”

Kasia Moś – “Alejandro”

Kasia, who represented Poland in 2017, is back with a unique pop track for this week’s playlist. Pop and rap blend together in a bold production, while the accompanying music video—a horror thriller—follows a complex storyline centered around the mission to exterminate a character named Alejandro. The video gives off strong Kill Bill vibes. According to Kasia, the character Alejandro can have “many names,” as he symbolizes a certain type of man.

Kasia insisted to mention that: “No Alejandro was harmed in the making of this music video.”

Alma – “Tipsy Summer Night”

We have a summer anthem from France as well, coming from Alma, who competed in 2017. It’s the perfect soundtrack for any summer night on a terrace, sipping a drink. The song is in English, and the vibe is very cinematic. The chorus goes: “We can’t play pretend/ Come with me/ Don’t be shy,” as the song tells the story of a person who can’t see you, even when you’re right in front of them.

Ann Sophie – “R U Thirsty?”

Ann Sophie, who competed for Germany in 2015, returns this week with a track that makes you dance, showcases the best of her voice, and delivers a twist—a powerful, sarcastic message. The song brings an important ecological perspective through its lyrics: “I’m feeling rich when the rain touches me/ But there’s a straw in my juice/ Why are we praying and hurting/ Why are we all left deserted/ Are you thirsty?”

About the message of the song, Ann Sophie said:

“This song has a deeper message than just dancing in a space …it addresses the issues we have as a humanity because we mistreat our planet … And talks about limiting resources for people in need. (…) I hope you enjoy this song and its sarcastic twist to the fullest … turn it up … dance and create unforgettable moments for yourself… & enjoy this beautiful place we call earth.”

Mike Tramp – “Cherokee”

Mike, who represented Denmark in 1978 as part of the band Mabel, revisits a rock classic this week. The song was originally released in 1985 by the American band White Lion, of which Mike was a member. It’s a perfect rock track that evokes nostalgia, now with a fresh sparkle. The release comes with a lyric video—perfect if you’re in the mood to sing along.

The powerful lyrics speak loudly and clearly, touching on the culture and struggles of Native American people: “You were young but you were wise/ You were smoke that always rise/ How they put you down and spat upon your name/ You were snow and you were rain/ You were one without a chain/ But they changed your life and gave you all the blame.”

Anna Rossinelli – “Too Late”

Anna, who competed for Switzerland in 2011, returns with a serene new release—powerful and emotional—about lost dreams and people drifting apart. The song carries a retro yet energetic feel, filled with longing and the desire to mend what’s been broken. The lyrics capture this sentiment beautifully: “Is it too late, baby?/ To tell you that I’m sorry now?/ Is it too late? Maybe/ To make it up to you somehow…”

Nico – “112”

Romanian singer Nico, who participated in Eurovision 2008 alongside Vlad Miriță, is back with a new song that feels like a romantic emergency call. The chorus sets the tone with urgency and passion: “122/ There’s fire between us/ And I feel how my heart, my heart jumps out of my chest/ How to calm it down? It doesn’t hear me/ 122/ Save us both/ We have explosive in our veins/ And just one spark is enough/ Help/ What are we doing now?” The result is a perfect summer radio hit—catchy, intense, and impossible to ignore.

AISEL – “Bu Şəhərdə”

And this week’s round-up ends with AISEL, who competed for Azerbaijan in 2018. Her newest release, called “In This City,” is a perfect summer track with strong traditional influences. The song is a heartfelt tribute to Baku, the city where AISEL grew up—a place filled with memories and emotion. Through her powerful voice, the song invites listeners to reflect on their own memories and, for those who have visited Baku, to be transported back to their version of the city.
