The women’s competition at Padel G24 in Madrid delivered its first results, with Croatia, Greece, Austria, and Norway securing their spots in Phase 2, starting tomorrow.
They join Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Great Britain, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, and Lithuania in the next round.
In Group A, Croatia clinched victory over Ukraine, thanks to Pavkovic and Hrkac’s decisive point. Group B saw Greece stage a 2-1 comeback against Romania, with Adamopoulou and Malamou sealing the win, while Ireland defeated Montenegro 2-1.
Austria dominated Group C with a 3-0 sweep against Georgia, joined by Cyprus, who also won 3-0 against Moldova. In Group D, Norway secured qualification against Czechia with wins in the first two matches. Andorra claimed third place in the group with a 2-1 victory over Bulgaria.
