Dine and donate at 7 Ranges
STEUBENVILLE — Those at 7 Ranges Entertainment stated the business believes in the power of community.
“And right now, our neighbors in Wheeling need us,” officials commented.
As a means to help support those families impacted by recent flooding, 7 Ranges will host a dine to donate event all day Friday, with 25 percent of all proceeds from food and drink sales to be donated directly to select Wheeling families working on rebuilding their lives following devastating losses.
This event applies to dine-in and take-out orders, excluding alcohol and private parties.
Whether patrons come for lunch, dinner or to grab a bite to-go, every order will make a difference, officials stated, adding, “The more we come together, the greater the impact we can make for these families.”
Democratic Women to hold events
WEIRTON — The Hancock County Democratic Executive Committee will hold its monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Blue Steel Cafe and Grill, located inside the Steel Valley Bowling Center on Elaine Street in Weirton.
The Hancock County Democratic Women will hold its meeting following the executive committee at 6:30 p.m.
The group will discuss and finalize plans for the Blue Crew picnic, which members will host from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Serbian Picnic Grounds in Weirton.
Chicken will be provided by the club. Drinks can be purchased at the facility.
“There will be no speeches and no dress code,” organizers said. “Just good people and better snacks.” Guests can attend with or without bringing a side dish to share. The afternoon will include “good food, socializing and good fellowship,” officials added.

WMC Auxiliary to hold sale
WEIRTON — The Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a Robert’s uniform sale, featuring all your types of favorite fashion brands in scrubs, accessories, shoes and more.
The sale will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday. The sale will be held in the medical center atrium, located on Colliers Way.
Class of 1975 to hold reunion
STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville High School Class of ’75 will hold its 50th class reunion Sept. 6.
The icebreaker will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 5 at Seven Ranges Entertainment Center, located at the Fort Steuben Mall. The reunion and dinner will take place at Froehlich’s Classic Corner on Sept. 6.

Gun Bash planned in Weirton
WEIRTON — The Oakland Volunteer Fire Department will hold a gun bash beginning at 11 a.m. Aug. 9 at the Serbian Picnic Grounds in Weirton. Food, drinks and music will be among the day’s offerings.
Prize drawings will take place every 15 minutes, beginning at noon. The final drawing will be held at 5 p.m.
Early entry tickets will gain attendees access into the event an hour earlier, with gates opening at 10:30 a.m. There will be four extra prizes for those having early access, with tickets costing $50.
General admission tickets are $25, with gates opening at 11:45 a.m.

Grecian Food Festival set
WHEELING — Faith, food and fun is coming to Wheeling, as the parishioners of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church announced this year’s 24th-annual Grecian Food Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 23-26. Indoor dining will be available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“Authentic food, electric atmosphere and contagious hospitality makes this festival one you will not want to miss this summer,” organizers stated. “The event will offer something for everyone.”
The Agape Dancers will perform dances from various regions of Greece to live authentic Greek music provided by “The Greek Company,” daily.
“Come and connect with our heritage and traditions which are centuries old, yet timeless in substance,” stated Gus Kayafas, festival director. “Our sanctuary tours will inspire you, the Orthodox Christian Bookstore will educate you, the food and drink will entice you and the hospitality will overwhelm you.”
Wendy Frankovich, outreach director, said, “When you visit the food festival, please consider learning more about the Orthodox Christian Church. We welcome you to explore the beauty and depth of our Christian tradition through conversation, resources and heartfelt hospitality at our new outdoor booth called, Ask Us About Our Orthodox Christian Faith.”
Guests can visit the St. John’s Bookstore or tour a church where participants can listen to youth and young adult choir showcases. Guided tours will be offered at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The Byzantine Choir will perform daily at 4:45 p.m.
The Greek Market will make its return, located in the upstairs dining hall, run by the ladies’ Philoptochos Chapter. Free cooking classes will be held at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. each day of the festival.
