Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host and Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-fiancée, was publicly announced as the future ambassador to Greece shortly after their breakup in late 2024. Guilfoyle has maintained a strong presence in Trump circles, attending high-profile events like the 2025 inauguration festivities, Super Bowl LIX, and Palm Beach society galas. She also celebrated Greek Independence Day at the White House with a public speech, emphasizing the strong U.S.-Greece relationship.
Guilfoyle posted on Instagram in May 2025 that she had graduated from “ambassador school,” signaling her preparation for the diplomatic role, but there is still no formal appointment. Her Instagram profile describes her as the “U.S. Ambassador to Greece,” although no official government channels or the U.S. Embassy in Athens have confirmed or publicized her appointment. The official U.S. Embassy accounts have instead focused on other events and previous ambassador-related news.
Previously, George Tsunis served as U.S. ambassador to Greece from 2022 until the change in administration on January 20, 2025. He frequently engaged with the public via social media and officially ended his term with a farewell tweet highlighting his personal connection to Greece.
Donald Trump Jr., Guilfoyle’s former fiancé, ended their engagement amid reports in December 2024 that he was seen with socialite Bettina Anderson. Despite the breakup, Guilfoyle continues to be an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump’s administration through various media platforms. Property records also show that Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. still jointly own a home in Jupiter, Florida.
