Multi-platinum artist VASSY is challenging herself to explore new realms with upcoming single ‘HAZY’, a jazzy-style track that contrasts with the prior EDM anthems she has created.
The Greek Australian musician is showing a whole new side of her musical personality with the new hit set to be released via the French housel label LESIXTYNINE MUSIQUE on 27 June.
The song, produced by Colin Emmanuel, is said to reflect a liberated artistry that is mature, soulful and deeply rooted in VASSY’s musical heritage, standing in contrast to her previous tracks that have delved more into the high-energy festival sound.
Speaking on the song in a press release, VASSY noted:
“HAZY shows a whole new side of me – more soulful, jazzy, and emotionally driven. It leans into minimal vocals with bossa textures and electronic flourishes. I finally feel heard and supported, working with a team that gets me.”
The track is described as having come from “a place of vulnerability, when your heart hasn’t caught up with your mind, drifting in a foggy, bittersweet space where everything feels surreal like a warm melancholy”.
The intimate, sophisticated vibe stretches VASSY’s discography into new areas, inciting further emotional depth and thought.
