Drowned in a river in Greece, the parents of two children decide to save other

“People leave our lives because that’s how God wants them, they never leave our hearts because that’s how we want them…”, is this farewell letter for the two minors who tragically died in Greece by drowning in a river, Spridhon Kristofor and Kleoni Fezollar.

They were only 14 and 12 years old, and while it should have been a beautiful and adventurous day, it turned into a tragedy when the river water filled their little lungs. Although another Albanian, Ledian Goga, risked his life to get them out alive, the two little ones died in hospital.

Their parents showed strength, courage, and kindness when they decided to donate their organs to the hospital to save other lives.

The procedure for the 14-year-old Greek was completed yesterday, while the procedure for the 12-year-old Albanian will be completed today.

The National Transplant Organization (NTO) is covering the funeral expenses of two children, following a relevant order from the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis.
