Immerse Yourself In Greek Culture, Cuisine, Dancing And More At St. Nick’s Greek Fest

Now in its 61st year, St. Nick’s Greek Fest is a beloved summer tradition and features some of the best cuisine found at outdoor festivals in the south suburbs. The St. Nicholas Ladies Philoptochos Society has food prep down to a science, making their famous baklava, featured on WGN’s “Chicago’s Best,” with a dedicated crack grill team firing up the kabobs.

Fest goers can also enjoy plates full of tasty souvlaki, Greek chicken, gyros, pastitsio (“Greek lasagna”), spanakopita, Greek pastries and more. Two bars will be available to serve up libations, including Greek beer and wine. Or, head over to the Kafeneion for some Greek coffee and frappe.

The church will be raffling off cash prizes, including a $5,000 grand prize, and second prize of $2,000 and $1,500 third prize. Tickets are $100 and the winner need not be present.

Live entertainment is featured throughout the weekend:

TRADITIONAL GREEK DANCE PERFORMANCES performed by St. Nicholas youth will take place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15. Opa!
