The Best Jelly Sandals To Wear Summer 2025

Wherever The Row goes, the fashion crowd follows – especially when it comes to footwear. For pre-fall 2024, the new-season shoe propositions were hotel slippers and jelly shoes, the latter of which swiftly depleted in stock the moment they launched. A move away from the nostalgic buckled iterations of decades past, The Row presented a more modern silhouette, made from netted PVC and available in bright shades, including zingy scarlet and turquoise. On the runway, they were paired with cropped trousers, longline coats and shirting, which further added to their elevated appeal.

The appetite for jelly shoes has grown exponentially since The Row launched the Mara jelly, with various brands and designers creating their own versions of the playful shoe. As well as The Row’s £860-priced flats (which are now only available on resale sites), there are an array of contemporary and high-street styles on the market. Ancient Greek Sandals, for example – a favourite among Vogue staffers – stocks multiple takes on jelly shoes. The label’s Iro and Elli flats are inspired by those introduced by the grandfather of co-founder Nikolas Minoglou in the 1960s, which are named after his grandmothers, who wore the original jelly sandals every summer.

However you choose to style them – be it with beach-ready outfits or city staples à la The Row – jelly shoes are a worthy investment for this summer and beyond. Below, Vogue edits some of the best.
