Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece is counted among some of the most beautiful royals in the world. The Princess, known simply as Olympia—who also works as a fashion model—channelled her inner Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City). Olympia wore the dress: the ruched, semi-sheer “naked dress” that has become one of the show’s most iconic fashion moments. The look is an archive piece from the Spring 1999 Donna Karan Collection. A blush-toned slip with a strapless wrap bodice and a flowy skirt featuring a high leg slit, it’s pure late-‘90s minimalism with a hint of New York attitude. In the show, Bradshaw had worn the dress to a wedding. She completed the look with dusty rose pink sandals, finished with a rose embellishment. Olympia dropped the snaps on Instagram with the caption, “I couldn’t help but wonder…”

Olympia is the only daughter of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller.

Carrie Bradshaw remains one of the most iconic and stylish fictional characters to date. She’s served as a fashion moodboard for generations, ever since the series first aired nearly three decades ago. Her sartorial sense—equal parts chaotic, aspirational, and bold—has always been central to her character. Her wardrobe still finds a place in contemporary style references and pop culture discourse. Just a couple of days ago, Jenna Ortega stepped out in a vintage Christian Dior look, another ensemble made famous by Bradshaw in the series. According to People, “The famed design debuted at the Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2000 show at Paris Fashion Week, according to L’Officiel USA. At the time, John Galliano was the creative director of Dior.”
