Today, May 9th, VASSY releases her BossAcoustics EP, a deeply personal project marking a new chapter. “This feels like coming home,” she shares with Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “Before EDM, I was shaped by Bossa Nova, Latin Jazz, and timeless melodies. BossAcoustics is my homage to those roots.”
The independently-released EP reimagines her signature tracks in an acoustic, Bossa-infused style—intimate, soulful, and authentic. “Fans have long asked for this stripped-back sound,” VASSY says. “It’s not just an album; it’s where my love for music began.”
VASSY’s accolades include being the first Australian to top the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart with “We Are Young” in 2012, amassing six chart-toppers since. In 2020, her hit “Bad” with Guetta and Showtek earned her a spot on APRA AMCOS’ The 1,000,000,000 List, now surpassing 2 billion streams.
