The Music of Kouyioumtzis and Xarhakos at Chiotes Hall in NYC on May 10


NEW YORK – ‘The Music of Kouyioumtzis and Xarhakos’ will be presented on Saturday, May 10, 7 PM, at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity’s Chiotes Hall in New York City. Doors open at 6:15 PM.

This special concert will showcase the rich musical heritage of Greece through the compositions of Stavros Kouyioumtzis, known for his deeply resonant songs that explore themes of love, poverty, and dignity, as well as Stavros Xarhakos, a renowned composer and conductor who has written music for theater, cinema, and popular music.

Hosted by Maestro Costas Tsourakis, the concert features the Archdiocesan Cathedral Choir & Youth Choir, Greek Band, and additional special guest vocal soloists.

Performers include Olga Xanthopoulou, Katerina Hadjipavlis, and Harita Seiderer on vocals, Kostas Psarros on bouzouki, Areti Giovanou on keyboard, Angelos Papadatos on bass, and Steve Vavagiakis on percussion.
